|Duties:||ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following (other duties may be assigned):|
Operates card which consists of starting and stopping machine, changing machine over for various SKU\'s, and keeping constant watch on machine to ensure proper operation and quality.
Unloads bales of fiber off trailer using powered industrial truck, places bales in front of hopper, breaks open bales and loads into hoppers.
Performs minor mechanical repairs as needed including but not limited to replacing motors, bearings, aprons, vacuum hoses and repairing cylinders.
Removes clogs from overhead pipes and other parts of machine as needed.
Records all maintenance, downtime, cleaning and greasing of machine on a daily basis.
Fills in for Batthead Operator as needed by removing completed rolls of filler from batthead, bagging and weighing rolls and storing rolls in inventory. Must record weights and widths of batting rolls.
Responsible for preventive maintenance as needed including, but not limited to cleaning or changing aprons, greasing bearings or other machine parts.
|Qualifications:||Strong communication skills.|
Proven mechanical experience/aptitude.
Ability to work in dusty environment, around textile processing machinery.
Ability to stand/walk full shift.
Ability to reach at, below and above shoulder level.
Ability to frequently lift/move materials weighing up to 150 pounds.
Ability to pinch, push, pull and grasp with both hands.
Availability for overtime.
